Assalamulaikum,

In the previous post we looked at basic level Ism , Fi’l and Harf of Surah Kahf Ayah 1

Quran 18:1

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا ۜ

الحَمْدُ

الحمد is an Ism and it is Mubtada in the sentence Jumla Ismiyyah

It is Mubtada because it is in Rafa status.And there is break in the chain because there is fragment next to it so will add “is” in translation after الحمد

لِلَّهِ

لِ is harf Jarr and لفظ الجلالة (The Word Allah) is in jarr status

لِلَّهِ Jaar-Majroor Fragment, Therefore it is Mutalliq bi’l Khabar - متعلق بلخبر

ٱلَّذِىٓ

ٱلَّذِىٓ is Ism Mawsool

أَنزَلَ

أَنزَلَ is فعل ماض Fi’l Madhi - Inside Doer is “He”

Family 4 - … اسْلَمَ يُسْلِمُ اسْلامً

From here starts the Jumla Fi’liyyah. And this Jumla Fi’liyyah is the Silatul Mowsool - صلة الموصول (الّذي)

Hans Wehr - root ن ز ل

عَلى عَبْدِهِ

عَلى is Harf jarr , therefore عَبْدِ is Majroor

عَبْدِهِ is Idhafa Fragment

عَلى عَبْدِهِ is متعلقان بأنزل

الْكِتابَ

It is Mansoob and مفعول به

( مفعول به tells “who” or “what” was action done to )

وَلَمْ

و is Harf Ataf and لَمْ is Lightest Harf

يَجْعَلْ

يَجْعَلْ is فعل مضارع and is lightest

لَّهُۥ عِوَجَاۜ

لَهُ is متعلقان بيجعل

عِوَجاً is مفعول به

Translation :

All Praise and thanks belongs to Allah, who sent down the Scripture to His servant, allowing no crookedness in it,,

تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جس نے اپنے بندے پر یہ کتاب نازل کی اور اس میں کوئی ٹیڑھ نہ رکھی
